2021 Jaguar XJ Canada – The next XJ Jaguar Sedan will drive a new platform designed for electric and hybrid vehicles and will use an upgraded longer drivetrain from I-Pace EV, read the new report. According to CAR Magazine, Jaguar’s biggest sedan will be using battery power for the next generation, and riding the Modular Longitudinal Architecture (MLA) along with the new Defender and other upcoming Land Rover that will be more like a car than a SUV .

XJ will most likely remain a five-door liftback sedan, the magazine said. Driving XJ could be the powertrain of I-Pace EV, albeit with some modifications, upgrading the 90-kWh battery pack to 100 kWh; and use electric motors on all four wheels, not just one on each axle.

Each motor can be assessed to 200 horsepower, which means the total output of the 800 horsepower system, enough to abandon the EV competitor in its all-electric dust. I-Pace currently generates 394 horsepower and 512 lb-ft torque, which also demonstrates XJ can produce more than 1,000 lb.-ft. torque.

Unfortunately, this is all the assumption at this point, because Jaguar hasn’t yet revealed its own specifics, or any information, really. No prototype has been spied on, and the previous release date has come and gone. What we know is that Jaguar plans to launch all of his vehicles for the model year 2020-XJ could be the start of the transformation.

After entering the seventh year of the model with only a few changes, it is not surprising Jaguar is working on a more significant update of its F-Type sports car. Based on photos of spies from what is likely to be a J-2021 Jaguar, it gets a serious nose job. But interestingly, it is also still closely related to the current model.

In the front, the main change is the headlight design. Instead of vertical units, swept back from the current car, the new one has a low, horizontal light. The actual lights are much more akin to Jaguar’s more practical offerings such as XE, XJ and F-Pace. The light also has a sharper angle that blends into the line and folds on the front end. The main grids don’t look very different, but they will obviously be flanked by redesigned sticky lattice based on how well they’re covered.

All the middle parts seem to be carried away from the current model. This seemed to kill rumors that there would be 2 + 2 F-types. The tail ends are also almost identical, but the back lamp loses a small circular extension inspired by the Jaguar E-Type. Wide tailpipe and a large diffuser like a V8 R-powered model, so we hope that’s what we see.

Since this F-Type is largely seen as a style improvement, we expect most of the current powertrain ranks to be transferred as well. That means four turbocharged cylinders for entry-level models and V8 for top-rung cars. In the middle, though, the supercharged V6 might disappear in favor of Jaguar-Land Rover’s turbocharged inline-6. This seemed reasonable because Jaguar had removed the V6 on the XE gradually, and inline-6 came from the four cylinders already in use, making it quite easy to use. Power should be the same as the V6 380 horsepower of the current car. In the new Land Rover, it generates between 355 and 396 horsepower depending on the version you get. We also assume all machines will still be merged to eight-speed automatically without visible manual options.
