2020 Jaguar XF Release Date UK – Difficult Times for Jaguar, with slow sales rooms and the Castle Bromwich plant in a week of three days before Christmas. Could the answer be in the battery power? The XJ Luxury Saloon polarizer should be replaced in 2019 and CAR Moles suggest that its successor will be a pure electric car.
2020 Jaguar XF Release Date UK
Traditionally, the XJ has fought against models like the Mercedes S-Class and the Audi A8, but its successor must move its crosses towards the Taycan of Porsche, the E-Tron GT of Audi and, in particular, the now venerable but successful Model S of Tesla.
The prices of XF Sportback range from about £35.000 to just over £52.000, which is on par with the course in the real estate sector dominated by BMW 5 Series Touring/Audi A6 Avant.
The range starts at the ‘ Prestige ‘ level and then goes through the ‘ R-Sport ‘, ‘ Portfolio ‘ and ‘ S ‘ setting levels.
Most customers will be attracted to the 2.0-liter Diesel Ingenium, which is offered in versions 163 and 1290PS. Even the ‘ Prestige ‘ base edge is equipped with a series of soft-grain leather seats, xenon headlamps and indoor ambient lighting.
The ‘ R-Sport ‘ model adds 18-inch alloy wheels and a bodykit, while the ‘ Portfolio ‘ specification allows you to upgrade the ‘ Windsor leather ‘ upholstery and a 380-watt Meridian sound system.
The Top ‘ S ‘ variants have 19-inch wheels, a more aggressive body kit, and the Jaguar Adaptive Dynamics damping system.
Across the range, the InControl Touch’s standard information and entertainment system is based on an 8-inch capacitive touchscreen and supports family gestures from smartphones and tablets, such as “Slide ” to perform actions such as moving from a Page to the next or to change track, and ‘ drag ‘ to scroll through the maps.
The InControl Update Touch Pro offers a 10.2-inch touchscreen display and Dual View technology that allows the driver to view information such as navigation, while the front-seat passenger watches TV or a DVD.
Using I-Pace technology
An Elegant luxury successor (configured as a five-door liftback, in truth), the successor to the electric XJ can adopt similar engines and electronic control components for the existing I-Pace electric SUV, but not its custom-made architecture.
Rumors suggest that the XJ will be the first car built with Jaguar Land Rover’s new MLA platform, to support the future large Jaguar J-Pace SUV and the next-generation Range Rovers. While the ‘ e-XJ ‘ would naturally be a pure EV, the platform also features V6 and V8.
Motor Train Details please
The Total Traction XJ is driven by four electric motors, powered by a floor mounted battery (the I-Pace uses a 90kWh battery, the XJ can be upgraded to 100kWh). Each engine can gather up to 200bhp, which means that the E-XJ could plant a large tic next to the rhythm component of the famous “grace, Space and rhythm” line of Jag. But the quality of the conduction, the refinement and the design would be prioritized as much as the speed.
The I-Pace has demonstrated Jaguar’s willingness to be bold with its electric cars, and with that spirit, the XJ will abandon its classic three-box roots for a more progressive form of low drag.
The e-XJ will inevitably use the highest price that a luxury EV could require to offset its considerable investment cost. A high-tech, low-volume car may not be highly profitable, but its value as a flagship statement vehicle could be huge.
